Road Tour - A 7 day - Motorcycle Tour consisting of an arrival day + 5 days touring + departure day

Starting and ending in Chiang Mai, traveling the Mai Hong Son Loop, visiting as many of the attractions as possible. Distance traveled 740 Kilometres

Described as more orientated towards enjoy the country, culture, the fantastic mountain roads, with lots of stops at the many amazing attractions.

Typical itinerary of a 7 day Road Tour

Day 1

bikeWe meet you at Chiang Mai airport and transfer you to city centre hotel,

Bikes will be delivered to the hotel,

Welcome to Chinag MaiIn the evening we go for a walk around the Chiang Mai night bazaar, enjoy the atmosphere and have something to eat.

note: extra luggage can be left in Chiang Mai for the duration of the tour. Guests can request a support vehicle to carry luggage, more info at the bottom of this page.

Day 2

We head off on our tour and head straight for the national parks,

We enter the National park, and have a lunch stop along the way. we visit some impressive water falls and climb into the mountains to the top of Don Intanon, the highest mountain in Thailand, 2565 meters, we also visit a chedi or 2 on the way

The weather in the mountains is cool all year round, so guests may need an extra layer to wear in the mornings to keep warm.

in the afternoon we press onwards to our resort accommodation.

Day 3

Some real twisty mountain roads today, followed by lunch and a visit to the Mexican Sun flower fields, the best period to see them blooming is mid November.

In the afternoon we head North to our resort accommodation, we are now way up in the far North of Thailand.

Day 4

In the morning we enjoy a long tail boat trip up the river to visit a Kayang long neck village.

we also visit the Wat overlooking the town of Mae Hong Son.

lunch at Mae Hong Son then its back on the bikes a some more mountain roads and scenery before arriving at our jungle resort accommodation, In the evening we have an opportunity to walk to local caves to watch the spectacle of 300,000 swifts coming home to roost and a colony of bats leaving the cave system.

In the morning listen out for the baboons whooping in the jungle.

Day 5

A morning trip to the cave system, this time with a guide, we visit three caves, the river runs underground for 1 Km, and have a look at the lime stone formations, cave paintings and 1700 year old coffins.

in the afternoon we can visit some other wild caves or go for a run to the border with Burma.

Day 6

long run back to Chiang Mai with lunch on the way. some fantastic mountains roads.

lunch stop followed by visit to elephant camp

evening in Chiang Mai, dinner at cultural centre with food and show.

Transfer from hotel to airport.

Terms & Conditions.

50 % deposit is required to confirm a booking, payments accepted by sterling cheque from UK clients or via paypal money request. - Final balances are to be settled 42 days before departure. or cash on arrival paid in Sterling or Thai baht

Minor program changes are sometimes necessary, depending on season and road conditions. - Hotel accommodation is mainly in Resort Accommodation depending on availability and season. - Should VAT (currently 7%) or any other government taxes be introduced or raised within the contract period, we reserve the right to adjust our rates accordingly to reflect the change.

traveling as a pillion cost is £450

a group can request the support vehicle to accompany the tour to carry luggage cost £150

MCTT tours include all fuel and oil and support vehicle costs
Please note - Thailand is experiencing rapid increases in the price of fuel. Petrol prices have risen by 50% in the last couple of months
We have decided to hold our prices for the time being but may have to make tour price increases in the near future.
