Traveling around the Mai Hong Son Loop, A tour consisting of on road days and off road days, with many full days spent off-road trail riding.
Best described as being more orientated towards enjoy the trail riding with lots of visits to the attractions as they present themselves.
The video opposite shows a typical great quality dirt trail.
Experience of off road trail riding is essential for this tour, some of the climbs and decents can be steep, rutted, loose, gravely and dusty. We may travel 2&1/2 hours in the morning off road and 3 & 1/2 hours off road in the afternoon.
Proper protective gear is essential helmet, gloves, body armour, boots elbow and knee pads.

Arrival
Arrival Chiang Mai.
We meet you at the airport and transfer you (included) to city centre hotel (included)
Our tours are based on single room occupancy,
unless you choose to share with a friend or partner.
note: there maybe occasions when this is not available due to events beyond our control.
Tour intros followed by dinner and visit to Chiang Mai night bazaar.
Day 1
Breakfast at the hotel before picking up bikes and setting off.
Local trails on Mountain beside city.
Twisting mountain roads visiting mountain villages, giving guests time to settle with bikes and heat
second night in Chiang Mai
Day 2
Long day on road traveling through varied countryside and national parks with visit to Doi Intanon, the highest mountain in Thailand.

Twisting roads climbing higher and higher out of the jungle to a landscape of pine forests
Day 3
All day Off Road trail riding -
with visits to a couple of hill tribe villages.

Trail riding can be dusty, rutted, steep climbs and drops, river crossings, most of the time its really very good.
Day 4
On road riding
Long tail boat trip to visit Karen long neck village.

Off road trail riding to remote hill village.
Kayaking on river (not included but always popular)

Either on road or full day off road trail riding with visits to remote mountain villages. depends on group and local situation.

A deposit is required to book a tour, this can be paid in sterling to our UK bank account. or by Pay Pal to our Pay pal account. or by bank transfer to our MCTT bank account in Thailand.
balance payments can be made by bank transfer to our MCTT bank account in Thailand, or in Thai Baht cash on arrival in Chiang Mai when we meet up.
Minor program changes are sometimes necessary, depending on local situation, season and road conditions. - Hotel accommodation is mainly in Resort Accommodation depending on availability and season. - Should VAT (currently 7%) or any other government taxes be introduced or raised within the contract period, we reserve the right to adjust our rates accordingly to reflect the change.
